Pages 163-191 | Published online: 29 Aug 2017

Abstract

The species considered are the Grey Duck (Anas superciliosa) and the Mallard (A. platyrhynchos). Observations are made on life histories, weights and measurements, hunting pressure, sex ratios, banding results, seasonal dispersion, and feeding habits. The consequences of increased cultivation of land and of an altered environment are discussed.
