Summary
This review has dealt with the importance of methionine, choline and sulphate in poultry. The interrelationship between methionine and choline and between the sulphur amino acids and inorganic sulphate are also discussed. The review has emphasized that a three way interrelationship between methionine, choline and sulphate exists and should not be overlooked. It is pointed out that a complete understanding of the interrelationships between methionine and inorganic sulphate cannot be attained unless all three of these nutrients are studied simultaneously.

Cette revue est consacrée à l'importance de la méthionine, de la choline et des sulfates pour les volailles. Les relations entre la méthionine et la choline et entre les acides amines soufrés et les sulfates inorganiques sont discutées. L'accent est mis sur le fait qu'une interrelation triple entre méthonine, choline et sulfates existe et ne doit pas être ignorée. On met en évidence la conclusion qu'une compréhension complète des relations entre la méthionine et les sulfates inorganiques ne peut être obtenue qu'en considérant simultanément les trois nutriments.
Zusammenfassung
Diese übersicht befaßt sich mit der Bedeutung von Methionin, Cholin und Sulfat für das Geflügel. Die Wechselbeziehung zwischen Methionin und Cholin, sowie zwischen den Schwefel-Aminosäuren und anorganischem Sulfat werden ebenfalls diskutiert. Es wird besonders darauf hingewiesen, daß eine dreifache Wechselwirkung zwischen Methionin, Cholin und Sulfat vorhanden ist und nicht übersehen werden darf. Es wird betont, daß ein vollständiges Verstehen der Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Methionin und anorganischem Sulfat nicht erzeilt werden kann, wenn nicht alle drei dieser Nährstoffe gleichzeitig untersucht werden.
