Abstract
This is the first issue of the AEDS Journal devoted entirely to one theme. In May 1978, the editorial board and the publications committee decided that occasional special issues of the AEDS Journal should be dedicated to an important and timely topic. Because of the rapid evolution and production of microcomputers and their importance as an educational tool, “Microcomputers: Their Selection and Application in Education” was chosen as the topic for the first special issue.
