Abstract
In nearly all mastery learning situations, one of the most difficult to manage aspects has been that of evaluating and monitoring students' acquisition of knowledge. One frequently chosen solution has been that of computer generated repeatable tests which can be administered to students upon demand. Essentially, such tests can be characterized as being of either an on line or batch test construction nature. A number of specific examples for each are cited and discussed.
