Abstract

Approximately 835 soil profiles situated across the southern part of Denmark have been investigated. From each soil profile, five to six samples were collected and analyzed for texture, organic matter, calcium carbonate, pH(CaCl2) and pH(H2O). The soil profiles on farmland were divided into four groups according to geographical location, and within these four groups statistical analyses were carried out on the relationship between pH, texture and soil depth.
