SUMMARY
1. An account is given of an investigation into, and of the methods employed in assessing, the incidence of malnutrition amongst African children of three different areas in the northern Bechuanaland Protectorate.
2. Of 735 children examined, the percentage thus assessed in area (i) was 2fi, in area (ii) 21, and in area (iii), 3.
3. A short account of the areas in question is given, and the factors involved are briefly discussed.
