Abstract

Twenty six juvenile hormone analogs with various molecular chain length were prepared and bioassayed using allatectomized 4th instar larvae of Bombyx mori L. Among methyl or ethyl esters, the chain length of 17 atoms is the optimal for the high juvenile hormone activity on the silkworm.
