Abstract

Lime-limestone scrubbing is being adopted as the basic method of controlling SO2 emission from power plants. Use in other industries that emit SO2 is limited but is likely to increase. At the present time the technology is only in the beginning phases of development, perhaps usable as a means of controlling emission but crude and far from being optimized.
