Kentucky Uses Television to Explain Air Regulations

Pages 685-686 | Published online: 15 Mar 2012

Abstract

Combining television teaching techniques with those of the TV call-in talk show, the Kentucky Air Pollution Control Commission pioneered a rapid communications method to present their new regulations and procedures to industry, business, and the public throughout the state. In this novel approach the state agency presented new regulations via closed-circuit television and telephone to a far-flung audience and that audience talked back.
