Abstract
This paper reviews the design basis, installation details, and operating results of a Jettex® (trademark of De Cardenas SPA, Milano, Italy) pulse jet fabric filter on a 70 ton arc furnace. This filter on the first of three furnaces handles 600,000 m3/h (353,000 cfm) discharged from a combination 4th hole and canopy system. Since initial operation in 1980, pressure drop has ranged between 120 and 150 mm wg (4.5 to 6 in. wg).
