The Role of Science in Political Decision-Making

 

Abstract

The 11th U.S. Government Affairs Seminar of the Air Pollution Control Association was conducted April 21–22, 1983 in Washington, D.C. The seminar was designed as a forum for discussion of how scientific facts and information are incorporated into the legislative process by scientists, lobbyists and legislators—or why they are not. A sampling of the presentations follow.
