Guide for Determining Specifications in the Use of Acoustical Tile

Abstract

Acoustical tile is not a “cure-all” for all types of noise annoyance problems. Selection of the proper type for a given condition is essential to obtain maximum benefit for the amount of money spent. The author has presented the major items to consider in tile selection and has listed specifications for some examples which are common to industry and business. A method for specifying absorption qualities is introduced.
