Abstract
A laboratory facility for the exposure of animals (mice) to known concentrations of radon in an inhalation toxicity chamber is described in some detail. A dynamic system is used providing for intermittent or long-term exposures. De-emanation of a radium chloride solution by aeration is used as the source. Exposures to radon provides diffuse irradiation of the respiratory tract by an alpha-emitter as contrasted to discrete par-ticulate sources.
