Occupational Health and Air Pollution Research in Canada's Changing Economy

Abstract

In terms of numbers of people employed and volume of production, industry in Canada has increased greatly in recent years. Occupational health programs have kept abreast of new hazards in the industrial environment so the health status of workers has improved. The potential for community air pollution problems is increasing and research into methods of control and prevention have begun already. Specific areas are discussed.
