Defining the Odor Problem in a Community

Abstract

Steps required to evaluate the total odor problem in a community are described. Techniques utilized are analyses of complaint records, public opinion poll, trained observer corps for identification and location tasks, determination of perception thresholds, quantitative analyses for odorants, and methods of locating sources of odors.
