Planning Industrial Hygiene Studies to Utilize Plant Personnel

Pages 416-420 | Published online: 27 Dec 2007

Abstract

Environmental health investigations requiring long-term in-plant studies may require significant expenditures in time and money by the industrial hygienists. The use of plant personnel, though not trained in industrial hygiene, can substantially reduce these expenditures without compromising the quality of the work. Three examples of investigations utilizing plant personnel are discussed.
