Measurement of Airborne Dust Concentrations in Foundries

Abstract

The general problem of sampling, measuring and evaluating dust exposures in iron foundries in England is discussed. Of the various types of samplers the Hexhlet elutriator is considered to have many advantages. The use of this dust sampler is considered in detail in reference to efficiency, dust standards, and a dust control program.
