Abstract
A small analytical mass spectrometer is being used in the laboratory for identification and quantitative determinations of gases and liquids of industrial hygiene significance. Industrial plant atmospheres, collected in small gas bulbs, and gas chromatograph fractions, collected in special collection devices, have been readily analyzed. Average molecular weight values of solvent mixtures have been obtained by using the high vacuum inlet system associated with the instrument. Analysis of the solvent mixture is not required for the molecular weight determination.
