New Horizons of Engineering in Environmental Health

Pages 601-606 | Published online: 27 Dec 2007

Abstract

The broadening concepts of environmental health are discussed in relation to engineering. Distinct compartmentalization of attention to health problems is becoming increasingly difficult and less productive. The techniques of system analysis appear to be applicable to the problems. Finally, some “value judgement” of acceptable risks may be required in the dynamic ecology of man and his environment.
