Abstract
A direct method has been devised for measuring cascade impactor stage efficiencies. The method makes use of a special two-stage configuration of the sampler being calibrated. To employ the method, it is necessary only to measure the unnormalized density function of the source and the unnormalized density function of the particles collected on the second of two identical impactor stages. With this method, an impactor stage can be calibrated in a few hours.
