Abstract

This paper describes the experience of the New York State Department of Labor in the administration of the New York State Air Pollution Control Law as it applies to industrial sources. The Rules to Prevent New Air Pollution, prepared by the Air Pollution Control Board, are explained. Plan review procedures are outlined, and bases of approval are given. The advantages of review of a single set of plans for in-plant and air pollution control by an established industrial hygiene division are discussed.
