Abstract
Several elements (Ca, Mg, Na, K, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Pb) were determined in water samples by means of atomic absorption and flame emission techniques. The preparation of the samples, the analytical method, the sensitivities, and the analytical precision are presented. The analytical precision was calculated on the basis of a sizable amount of statistical data and exemplifies the role of an analytical determination of such factors as the hollow cathode source, the flame, and the detection system.
