Cummings Memorial Lecture—1968

To Reach—Or Not to Reach—for a Star

Pages 317-321 | Published online: 27 Dec 2007

Abstract

Mr. Willis G. Hazard was selected as the recipient of the Cummings Memorial Award for 1968. This award is presented annually by the American Industrial Hygiene Association in recognition of outstanding achievement and service in the field of industrial hygiene. Bill Hazard is a past-president of AIHA. He has served in other elective offices and committees too numerous to list within the AIHA and other professional organizations. His name is familiar to all who are experienced in industrial hygiene and his selection for the honor of this award is most timely and appropriate. We present here the thought-provoking and rather philosophical address which he gave at the 1968 Annual meeting on the occasion of his receiving the award.
