Administration of An in vivo Counting Program

Abstract

This report describes the administration of an in vivo counting program as applied to insoluble uranium compounds with the lung as the critical organ. Criteria for restricting work activities, and for removal from work restrictions, as well as the derivation of the lung burden and the weight of 235U equivalent to one lung burden are presented. The methods of in vivo computation and sample calculations from data from a specific case are included.
