The Place of Ergonomics in Science and Industry

Abstract

A scheme is presented to demonstrate the relationship between ergonomics, or human factors, and other disciplines, such as human engineering, industrial hygiene, and biomedical engineering, each of which has its own, although interrelated, areas in the field of science. The boundaries and the main tasks and aims of each discipline are described.
