Pages 657-666 | Published online: 04 Jun 2010

Abstract

There is widespread use of compounds in the human population, which have been shown to have a mutagenic effect, and it is urgent that the possible hazard to the human population they may present be considered very seriously. We have looked at this problem in the following ways: (1) the sources of these compounds, and (2) the possible actions to avoid proliferating the use of such hazardous chemicals in the human population.
