Current and Future Training at the University Level

Pages 742-748 | Published online: 04 Jun 2010

Abstract

Current interest in environmental quality can provide unique opportunities for the recruitment and training of highly motivated students into the fields of industrial health. Proposed Federal legislation recognizes personnel shortages and would authorize financial support for training. Rapid changes in patterns of undergraduate education will require maximum flexibility on the part of training programs to adapt new backgrounds to industrial health, activities that are closely interwoven with community health.
