Abstract
Several typical dust respirators approved in the United States and the United Kingdom for protection against pneumoconiosis-producing dusts were tested using test procedures employed in both countries. The test results indicate that dust respirators produced in the United Kingdom are somewhat more efficient than those produced in the United States in removing dust particles from inspired air. The test results indicate that there is no significant difference between the dust respirators made in both countries in regard to resistance offered to breathing and face fitting characteristics.
