X-Ray Diffraction from Micrograms of Quartz on Filters Using a Rotating Anode

Abstract

X-ray diffraction data from samples of 20, 60 and 100 µg quartz on poly-vinyl chloride membrane filters have been collected using a rotating anode x-ray source. These data suggest that 17 µg of quartz or possibly less could be measured directly on 35 mm diameter filters without any type of pretreatment.
