Abstract

The tare-weight of the plastic filter cassette for the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM) sampler and that of the plastic filter holder for conical inhalable sampler are not stable. However, the tare-weight of the IOM filter cassette made of stainless steel is stable. Weight variations of the 25-mm and the 37-mm polyvinyl chloride filters are no more than 0.006 mg (6 µg) after they are desiccated for at least 2 days.
