Rémi Langevin
RÉMI LANGEVIN is a professor at the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France). He obtained his degrees from the University of Paris 11 (Orsay). He has been president of the French Mathematical Society. His main fields of interest are integral geometry, conformal geometry, dynamical systems, and foliations. He has published approximately 60 research articles and, with C. Bonatti, a book on dynamical systems (Astérisque, 1998). He has advised 9 Ph.D. students. He particularly likes to convey mathematical ideas using pictures.
Paweł G. Walczak
PAWEŁ WALCZAK is a professor at the University of Łódź (Poland), where he has the position of Chair of Geometry. He obtained his degrees from the Mathematical Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Since 2005, he has been a vice-president of the Polish Mathematical Society. He has advised 8 Ph.D. students. His main field of interest is the theory of foliations, especially the geometry and dynamics of these. He has published approximately 60 research articles and a monograph “Dynamics of Foliations, Groups, and Pseudogroups” (Birkhäuser 2004).
