International Activities and the American Statistical Association

Abstract

This article describes the increasing involvement of the American Statistical Association (ASA) in international activities, and in particular, the events leading to the formation of the ASA Committee on International Relations in Statistics. ASA's emerging international program, which is currently being considered by this committee, is discussed.
