Exact p Values for F and t Tests

Abstract

A method is established for finding exact p values for F and t tests with the aid of a hand calculator. The derivation of the method is an exercise in probability theory and arithmetic series. With this method, the number of steps to a solution is always known. Numerical examples are given and comments and suggestions are made.
