Semimicro Volumetric Econoburette, A Novel Technique for Microscale and Risk Free Titrations for Academic and Industrial Uses

Abstract

Semimicro volumetric Econoburette (SMVE) is an economized, risk free and green chemistry instrument, which performs valuable titration with microlitre of substances. An inbuilt pipette that performs functions of the pipette and conical flask replaces the use of pipette to suck up an aliquot of stock solution to a conical flask. The sucking of solutions with pipette by mouth allows their exposure inside the experimenter's body; this risk is eradicated with SMVE. The micro level amount of titer and titrant consume less time in performing a volumetric tititration and prevents more use of materials. In general, after titration a significant quantity of indicators, additives, titer and titrant are consumed and drained out in sink to cause pollution; the econoburette unit reduces such wastages of materials upto 1/10th [one‐tenth] with high accuracies in results.
