Abstract

A phosphate-selective electrode is developed based on a silver coordination reaction. The electrode responds linearly toward HPO₄ ⁼ in the concentration range of 10⁻⁴ to 10⁻¹ M (slope = 27 mV/dec.). The electrode also shows good selectivity over sulfate, nitrate, perchlorate and acetate.
