Abstract

Electrolyte compositions known to promote reversible a.c. polaro-graphic reduction of Ga(III) at the D.M.E. were examined for use in the ohase-selective anodic stripping [PSAS] of trace gallium using the micrometer hanging mercury drop electrode. Rapidly obtained, sharp gaussian peaks were recorded in the range < 1.0 p. p. m. Ga. These peaks which apparently are manifest only at high ionic strengths could serve as a convenient monitor of tissue-sequestered gallium.
