Abstract

A colorimetric reaction has been studied for the detection and determination of ascorbic acid in samples at the microgram level. the method is simple, rapid, and sensitive, the ascorbic acid was detected using resin beads and determined spectrophotometrically using m-dinitrobenzene in formaldehyde. the detection limit was 10μg. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range of 2 – 50μg/ml of ascorbic acid.
