Abstract

Enzyme-amplified receptor assay performed by competitive binding of amitriptyline drug and enzyme labeled drug for acetylcholine receptor binding sites is described. the change in enzyme activity is followed by the rate of NADH oxidation at a platinum electrode with polarizing potential of 700 mV. the response obtained using amperometric technique compares well with results from spectrophotometric studies carried out for comparison purposes.
