Abstract

A flow injection analysis (FIA) system was designed for the determination of free and liposome-released peroxidase activity. the inclusion of an extra washing channel in the FIA system provided a solution to problems of electrode fouling and slow recovery of response. the addition of Triton X-100 to acetate buffer resulted in an effective and reliable wash solution, and improved the electrode recovery rate by a factor of three. the sensitivity also increases by about 20% for the enzyme with 3 mU activity by using the wash solution containing Triton X-100.
