Abstract

A method for the determination of inorganic phosphorus in phytic acid by polarography was developed. The mechanism of Mo/Sb/P polarographic behaviour has been studied. It is one of the most sensitive analytical methods of phosphorus at present. The limit of detection is 8x10−9 g/ml. This method has been used in the determination of inorganic phosphorus in phytic acid and result is found satisfactory.
