Abstract

The cathodic stripping voltammetric behaviour of cytosine 3′ -mono phosphate (3′ - CMP) at a hanging mercury drop electrode has been inves tigated in Na2B4O7 - NaOH buffer. The influences of the pre-concentra tion potential and pre-concentration time on the peak current and peak potential as well as the optimum experimental conditions are discussed. The linear relationships between the peak current and the concentration of 3′ - CMP at different pre-concentration potentials are tested. The detection limit of 3′ -CMP is 2×10−10 mol/1. The relative standard deviation of the method is 1.1% for 9.8×10−8 mol/1 3′ -CMP.
