Abstract
The determination of a vertical profile of sulfide concentration in sediments is complicated by the wide range of concentrations encountered. Analytical techniques are typically limited to a range of two orders of magnitude for a particular sample. This paper describes a method for the determination of sulfide in sediment samples which is applicable from 0.32 to 120 ppm sulfide. The calibration curve is a power series of reflectance versus concentration.
