Abstract

A detailed study on the fluorescence properties of kinetin, following reaction with NaHSO3 at pH 1.0 - 2.0 with heating on a boiling water bath (λex / λem = 325 nm / 500 nm), has been undertaken. The detection limit is 0.003 μg/ml of kinetin and the calibration graph is linear over the range of 0.003 - 3.85 mUg/ml.
