Abstract
The chemiluminescence reaction of lucigenin-hydroxylamine hydrochloride-NaOH is enhanced by pyrogallol. This provides a new chemiluminescence method for the determination of micro amounts of pyrogallol. The detection limit of pyrogallol is 4.5 × 10−8 g/ml, and the linear dynamic range is 5.6 × 10−8 g/ml to 5.6 × 10−6 g/ml. The relative standard deviation of ten replicate measurements is 2.3% for 10−7 g/ml pyrogallol. The interference study shows that this method has good selectivity. The percent recovery is 98.5–105%.
