Abstract

Novel self-assembled monolayers(SAMs) of ω-mercapto methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG) on a gold electrode were fabricated. The MPEG SAMs electrode had molecular recognition characteristics, dopamine(DA) having a good response at the MPEG SAMs electrode, and ascorbic acids(AA) being repelled from it. A high recovery of DA was obtained at the MPEG SAMs electrode in serum solution.
