Observations on Aphanius dispar (Rüppell, 1828), a mosquito larvivorous fish in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The cyprinodontid fish Aphanius dispar (Rüppell, 1828) is an omnivore and will eat mosquito larvae in disused water storage tanks etc. The species is indigenous and common in Saudi Arabia; it has few predators.
