Septic spline function method for nonlinear Schrödinger equations

Abstract

The nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation is solved numerically by collocation method using septic B-spline interpolation function. The truncation errors are given and stability of the method is studied. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated by test problems. The numerical results for the NLS equation can validate and demonstrate the advantages of the method.
