Scattering of plane compressional waves in a poroelastic medium having two rigid spherical inclusions

ABSTRACT

In this paper, scattering of plane compressional waves by two rigid inclusions in an infinite poroelastic medium is investigated. Laplace transform and Erdelyi's formula are used to satisfy the planar boundary conditions, and three infinite series equations are obtained by matching the boundary conditions on the surface of the sphere. The solution of these infinite series equations is obtained by successive approximations, and the existence and uniqueness of the solution are discussed.
