Stabilization of coupled wave equations with boundary or internal distributed delay

Abstract

We consider a system of compactly coupled wave equations with distributed delay terms in the boundary or internal feedbacks. In both cases, we establish, under some assumptions, the exponential decay of the solution. These results are obtained by introducing suitable energy functions and by proving some observability estimates.
