Distributions supported by hypersurfaces

Abstract

In a similar way as distributions with support in a point are sums of derivatives of δ, distributions with support in a hypersurface can be expressed as sums of multilayer distributions. We study such multilayer distributions in Riemannian manifolds, and we present, in Propositions 2 and 3, presumably new general formulas for their covariant derivatives.
